I need advice someone help!!

there's this guy i like i've known for awhile. his friend told me he likes someone else but he said he didn't like her and was only shipped with her. he thinks i'm cute. he told me so. he also says he thinks i'm an amazing person and stuff. does that mean he likes me or should i wait? someone help
